I have Robert Fletcher born c. 1755, died c. 1837. Born at Eastgate Chester. Goldsmith and a noted non-conformist.He was one of three sons of Robert Fletcher b. 1730 d. 1788, a noted maker of long case clocks.

According to my family tree James Fletcher born 1787 married Frances Taylor in 1808 and died in 1834.
They had 4 sons and 8 daughters. Edward taylor Fletcher died in infancy, but James Fletcher born 1822 emigrated to Australia. He had Thomas Moore Fletcher and two other sons of which we have no details.
Thomas Fletcher had Joseph Fletcher who was known to be living in Ballarat in 1927 and he had a son Gordon living in Melbourne in 1927.
This is al the information I have on the Australian connection, but if anything matches please come back to me as I have a lot of infomation about the Fletchers in general.

I am a great great grandson of Joseph Taylor Fletcher, via Lawrence Fletcher and Lawrence Gordon Fletcher. I am in possession of a family tree which goes back to 1270 and I am also in contact with a member of the Hunt family who is very high in genealogical circles.
At the present a member of the Hunt Family is in the process of building a Fletcher family tree with the intention of making it available only to any one who features on it.
For that reason it would be good to make contact, but I am a novice in the use of this site, so am not sure where to go from here.
I am told that you can pm me so I hope that you will.
