Lancashire / Death Details Liverpool
« on: Thursday 27 April 06 21:27 BST (UK)  »
Dear All,

I'm trying to find the death of a relative, Richard Wilson b c1829/30 Richmond Surrey. He died between 1871 & 1881 in, I believe, Liverpool.

I've found two listed, one died Apr qtr of 1873 the other Apr qtr 1879.

Is there a way of finding out any details about which one is my Richard Wilson without the expense of sending off for certificates etc?

Are there any further lookups as the details listed on Ancestry.co.uk are identical for births ie both 1829.

Thanks for any advice

Thanks for the reply.
I'm coming to a cul-de-sac on this one I think. He seems to be a bit of a wanderer.

He's listed in 1861 as being 31 born in Surrey, Richmond. He was in Liverpool but seven months earlier had a daughter born in Ireland, seventeen months after his previous daughter had been in Liverpool.

You never know though, something may show up.

As for the other Wilson, I couldn't say as I've not much on him as yet.

Thanks

I wonder if anyone could be so kind as to see if there's any info on a Richard Wilson born about 1830 in Richmond Surrey.

Trouble is I don't have any definate record of where he was in 1851. He appeared in Liverpool in 1859 married to Jane and had a daughter called Mary that year.

Any help or info from any drection would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Would anyone be so kind as to see if they can find anything about Ellen Osbaldeston. I believe she was born in about 1849. Possibly in Botlon.
She was sister of Joseph, John, Edward, Peter, Sarah Annie and James. Daughter of James & Sarah Osbaldeston.

Any info from 1851 onwards would be great.

If anyone could say if she died young or whatever that would be excellent. (Not that dying young, you understand, would be excellent......)

Thanks in advance.

Scotland / 1901 Look Up Please
« on: Thursday 05 May 05 21:53 BST (UK)  »
Need some help please.

Trying to find a family who seem to have disappeared.

In 1901 they would have been

Alfred Slater 49 b Pilkington Lancashire
Mary Slater 51 b Pilkington Lancashire
Alice Slater 24 b Radcliffe Lancashire
John Slater 14 b Radcliffe Lancashire
Mary Ann Slater 22 b Radcliffe Lancashire
Willie Slater 20 b Radcliffe Lancashire
James Slater 16 b Radcliffe Lancashire

I think they may have ended up in Scotland and John may have married a Jessie Davison (b1889)

Can anyone shed any light (no matter how dim); would be eternally grateful.

Thanks in advance

Lancashire Lookup Requests / 1841 Preston Look Up Please
« on: Monday 14 March 05 18:09 GMT (UK)  »
Bit of a long shot. Would anyone be able to have a quick look at the 1841 for Preston. Trying to find an Anthony Hodson. He died in January 1843 aged 65 so I would think that he was born in 1777. He died at 73 Back Lane so he may have been resident there in 1841. Wife was Ann

Any info gratefully received.

Thanks for reading this

That's fantastic. Thanks for that. I take it if I send for the death certificate it will tell me the cause of death, however, does anyone know what extra the coroners report would supply and would it be published in the local papers by chance?
