London and Middlesex / 1918 Electoral Roll Lookup please
« on: Monday 26 March 12 13:33 BST (UK)  »
Hello - I would be so grateful if anyone could look up the Electoral Register for Wood Green, please, and see who was living at 22 Commerce Road in 1918.  I have a death registered there on 4 June or William Manderson.
Many thanks for any help.

Hello Angeline
Lovely to hear from you.  Since I posted my original messsage here in 2010 I have found many, many cousins descended from this couple in Australia, Canada and the US.  As you are in that part of the world, I wonder if you know Doug Miller in Peterborough, Ontario?  He is descended from James, as you are, and has thoroughly investigated this family.  I would like to exchange information with you.  I have my tree on Ancestry.co.uk if you are able to look at that, I don't know.
Can you send me a private message here and then I will give my home email so that we can correspond that way.
Look forward to hearing about your side of the family.
Regards
Yvonne in Wales

Thanks very much, Gill.  I am actually making this enquiry for a friend and I believe he already had this information. He would like to know the precise burial date in Geneva, if at all possible.
Thanks again.

Europe / Geneva, Switzerland, 1924 burial record?
« on: Tuesday 31 January 12 21:34 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I wonder whether someone could help or advise me about finding a burial record for Alec John Butt Thompson  who died 25th January 1924 at the Pension Dupois in Geneva.  He was 24 years old at the time.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Glanelly

No, Gerry, I did not know this so thank you very much for letting me know.  Are you able to check any earlier or later directories to see if he is still there?
Do you have any idea how I could find out more about him?
Thanks.
Glanelly

Glanelly,

You are probably aware that the 1880 Melbourne Directory has an Amos Connor at 39 Roslyn St West Melbourne.
