To Bernie O'Connor,
I said previously on this post it was Margaret McGuire (Maguire) who married Michael (O')Connor prior to migrating to Australia, but in fact it was Margaret's sister Elizabeth who married Michael.
I have copies of the books "The McGuires of Garvoc and Tara" by John J. Stainsby and "The Donovans of Mamre" by Francis X. Brown O.P. that include a lot of information about your great grandparents Michael and Elizabeth (O')Connor.
According to those references, Elizabeth was born 1842 and married Michael in 1858. She died in 1888 aged 46 years and is buried at Garvoc Cemetary.
Margaret McGuire married Daniel Donovan.
Contact me on (*) and I will send you copies of those books.
Regards,
John McGuire
