hello cath2006!
Yes, you are right.  I'm married to your late uncle Terry's son, Chris!  I have your name on my family tree doodles, but that is all!  Are you on Ancestry, GenesReunited or Facebook?  We could link up that way, or I can give you an e-mail address.
Thanks for getting in touch - I think I only met your dad (briefly) once, and spoke on the phone once.  I hope we can help each other with family tree details!
Regards
Liz

Thanks Shane for these suggestions.  Looked at the GRO Roscommon website - online ordering page was unavailable for few days, back now but it seems the price has just gone up to 20 euros plus postage!  Do you know if this applies to research certificates too?

Wexford / Catherine Maloney nee Boland

Looking for help on wife of John MALONEY - only have name Catherine BOLAND.

I am told he lived at Kisha, born 1844, died 1935  aged 91.  They had children Mary (1885?) Richard k.a. Dick (1886/7?) Patrick k.a Paddy (1889?)and John k.a Jack (1895).  1901 Ireland census seems to have  John (married) and 4 children at house 1, Racecourse, Kilscoran, Wexford, but no wife.  1911 census has John (widowed) with Patrick and Richard, so Catherine died between 1901 / 1911.

Mary married Thomas POWER, 1911 census for them has Mary Boland, Aunt-in-law, perhaps Catherine's sister? Richard married Hannah HANLON.  Patrick did not marry but 'went to New York' (don't know if he stayed). John (John's youngest son) came to Maesteg and married Edith THOMAS in 1923. They went to Canada (Liverpool - Quebec) between 1929 / 1933 but settled in Maesteg after that.

Possible that John Maloney (1844) remarried Johanna HANLON (died 1939 aged 69) explaining Richard meeting her daughter Hannah?

John and Catherine's grandchildren include John, Patrick, Kathleen, Morgan John, Mary Catherine, James Patrick (born Ingersoll, Ontario), Sheila and Terry MALONEY, Patrick and John POWER. Some in Wexford still, some in South Wales, London or beyond.  Marriages to ROCHE, CONNICK, CORISH, CORCORAN, WHITE may help.

Despite all this ... who was Catherine BOLAND?

Thanks Morgan,
I have John and Annie's marriage certificate - yes her father is Stephen, and yes she is 20 yrs old, so born 1893/4.  It is MORE than likely that Sarah was later known as Annie - but no-one in the family I have spoken to knows anything about even the existence of an earlier marriage/family of Stephen Perry at all.  He is a widower on his second marriage certificate - so there definitely was one!
I did check the addresses on the marriage certificate in 1911, but neither had any connection.
Thanks for the suggestions - I'm hoping someone has a descendant of John and Annie in their tree somewhere!
Regards

Glamorganshire / John's / Perry's in Maesteg

Help please - trying to trace Sarah A PERRY (1893), Cecilia Mary PERRY(1897) and John James PERRY(1901), all born in Bermondsey, London to Stephen George B(augh) PERRY and Mary Catherine Perry nee JAMES.  Have them in 1901 census in London.  Mary died 1907 in Maesteg, where the James family originate.  Guessing they came back to Wales when she got sick, and the children ended up with relatives.  I cannot find any of them in 1911.  Cecilia may have married William DIXON.
I believe this is the same Stephen PERRY who remarried in 1926 Alice BLAKE nee REAKES, and died in 1936 - witness on the certificate is J.E. JOHN, (John Evan John), who married ANNIE PERRY in 1914.
Does anyone have any information on Sarah A - who could be Annie Perry / Annie John - so I can make this link definate? Thanks

Thanks Isobelruss.
This fills is the picture for Stephen George B Perry - but as his father seems to be Charles, I think I can count him out as my Stephen.

London and Middlesex / Stephen PERRY of London
« on: Sunday 25 October 09 20:48 GMT (UK)  »
Does anyone have any information on any Stephen Perrys from London?  I am trying to confirm which of possible census records are my Perry.  I know he was Stephen George Perry, died in Cwmfelin (Maesteg, Wales) in 1936, age given as 66.  He married Alice Blake, nee Reakes in Bridgend, Wales, in 1926, age given as 54, father given as William Perry (deceased) a brush maker.  Stephen was a widower, and coal hewer.  I am told he was 'a true Londoner' with an earring, so working on him being born in London!  As there are several Stephen Perry's born around London between 1869 and 1872 I am stuck.
I have a marriage certificate for a Stephen George B(augh) Perry and Mary Catherine James in Camberwell 1892, hoping it was his first marriage.  His age is given as 23, a carpenter, and his father, though a brush maker, given as George Perry (deceased).  Not sure if this is him.
Any other leads worth checking out would be appreciated.
