Hello Jenny,

Thanks for the reply to my post. I have tried to email you on your yahoo.co.uk
but it gets returned.
The Noel Wardell you mention is my Grandfather, he had two daughters, Lily Winifred (85 years old, my Mother) and Lorna (89 years old, my Aunt) both are still fit-ish and well. Noel was the yongest of four sons, the others being John, William and George. Their father was John Richard Wardell, one of seven children. My mother has been puzzled as to where Noel`s middle name of Sudbury comes from. I am in South Africa at the moment, but when I get back I will show her your reply.

Thanks again ....... Mick Bower        (*)

I am trying to find the connection between John Sudbury, leatherseller of London to the Sudbury family in Egmanton, Notts. He founded a charity in Egmanton so there must be a family relationship. He was also a printer in partenership with his nephew George Humble. Dooes anyone know of anything in the London archives which would give the answer.

  Pipz. ???

Hi pipz, My Grandfather`s name was Noel Sudbury Wardell, of Egmanton. I`m trying to find a
