Thanks so much.  I have now joined family search and can see all the items with his full name on it.  I can now piece the jigsaw together!  Thanks again

Thankyou, for the Tampa obituary - I'm sure it will all fit together to be conclusive soon, but I wonder if there might be something with his actual middle name (Paton) on it rather than just the letter P - just to completely eliminate Robert Paul Crawford from the story.
It does link the children with his second wife, but I still need to link Paton to any of them.

United States of America / Finding the right Robert P Crawford?

Hello all, I have a Robert Paton Crawford in my tree (son of Robert Crawford and Susie McHardy).  He was born 20th June 1902 in Louisville, Kentucky and I think he died 1963 in Pinellas, Florida (he had a couple of marriages/divorces).  There is however another Robert P Crawford with similar dates and the 2 are often used indiscriminately in folks trees - as a result two families have got quite muddled in history!  They both married a Ruth, one was Ruth A Clemmens, one was Ruth L Backus.  One had a child called Robert C Crawford and the other had a Theodore and an Edward Crawford.  Some trees have all three (or more) children belonging to one Robert P Crawford.  Could somebody access the obituary info to find out which children belonged to Robert PATON Crawford, rather than Robert PAUL Crawford?

Thank you so much - I think her sister was at Forest Park so that would make sense.  After her sister died in US, her niece lived with her for a while so I guess she buried her.  Couldn’t open the other links as don’t have that app but will look into it.  But this grave will definitely be her. Thanks again

Thanks for checking SP.  I have looked and checked the most likely ones and haven't found her there.  She isn't either of the 2 in Lanarkshire

One sister died in US (Christina), her other sister (Susan McHardy) and brother (John McHardy Alexander) died in Scotland (1954 and 1952). The address on the incoming to UK is 5 Chisholm Street and was their family 'base' in Glasgow - so many of them lived and died there - McHardy's - siblings, cousins over a long period of time.

I know, 10 years earlier she was 64 and was still working 44 hour week in public health.  She had been in US since 1914, so don't know that she would want to bide in Scotland at such a late stage in her life.  She may not have been nursing them, maybe just a visit before she got too old to travel.

Elizabeth was born 12th Jan 1876 near Tomintoul in Scotland to Thomas Gordon Alexander (ploughman) and Ann/Annie (nee McHardy).  She had 3 siblings, but by the age of 7 her mother had died  and the siblings were split up.  Elizabeth and brother John went to live with paternal grandparents in Moray. She never married (or at least not until 1940!) In 1914 she immigrates to USA and in 1920 she is living with her sister Christina (and Christina's husband William McGregor) in Cook, Chicago where she appears on the census returns until at least 1940.  She is a registered nurse.  Her sister in USA (Christina) dies in 1938 and her 2 UK siblings will die in 1950s in Scotland.  On 2nd June 1950 she travels first class to Scotland via Liverpool - presumably to visit ailing siblings.  I can't find any trace of her after this.  Did she travel back to US?  I think she was naturalised as she is listed as American on the passenger list.  Can't find passport application either though.  And no death for her so far.  Would love to find out where she did her nurse training but not sure those records are kept anywhere (UK?/USA?). There is an impressive monument to the family in Scotland which she must have had inscribed for her parents and her 3 siblings.
Any help with this gratefully received - forgive if I'm missing something obvious as I am not very used to American records.
