Hi Hinton
I have decided to have another look for my Margaret Taylor. The website you mentioned is one that I am very familiar with except that, at this stage, I think they have Margaret Taylor's information wrong. I have confirmed that a Margaret Taylor was born in Quarrington however her parent's surname was Local and in 1881 England Census Margaret was married/widowed as she has her mother Ann Taylor and her uncle John Local living with her.
Of course, there could be 2 Margaret Taylors born in Quarrington but, to date, I have only found one.
I am unable to go to the source of the website as he has passed away and there is no further information in his personal papers.
Thanks for your assistance.

Hi Carole
I had also found this one but ruled it out when I found the 1881 England Census which stated -
Margaret Currey Head 28 widow
Mary Currey 10 daughter
John Currey 4 son
Ann Taylor 55 mother widow
John Local 42 uncle
This seems to confirm to me that we had the wrong Margaret Taylor in 1861.
By 1881, my Margaret Taylor had married Maxmillian Klingner in Australia.
I am open to any other suggestions or avenues for me to investigate.
Thanks for your quick reply and help.

Durham / Margaret Taylor

Can anyone help. I have hit a brick wall. I am trying to find Margaret Taylor who was 23 years old when she married Maxmillian Klingner in Brisbane Australia on 30 Sep 1876.
Margaret has put on her marriage certificate that she was a spinster and came from Durham England. Her parents are named as Richard Taylor and Ann Robinson. Cannot find any records for her parents either so I am not sure if they went to Durham from somewhere else.
I would love to find any siblings for Margaret as well.
Thanks
Annette (Australia)
