Hi

Sorry about the dclay in replying, things have been hectic! My gt, gt grandmother was Annie Reed or Reid who I have found out came from Tubber. She married James Hagen in Taughboyne in 1867. They lived in Co Tyrone then moved to Glasgow around 1880. They had 11 children, 8 of whom I have a lot of info...the other 3 have disappeared. I suspect they may have moved to the USA or Canada. That's my next mission!

Hi

I am looking for details of a William Reed or Reid from Tubber circa 1867. He was my gt, gt, gt grandfather and I have only found out the Tubber connection recently. He had a daughter Annie who married James Hagan (Hagen) in Taughboyne in 1867.

Many Thanks

Hi Laurence,

Alexander and Esther had at least one child; a daughter who was registered 1919 in Plantation district, Glasgow and died 1999 in Eastwood and Mearns, Renfrewshire. She looks to have been married by the index too.

Thanks for that, much appreciated. Something more to go on.

Hi

I am having a fairly good spell doing my family tree, with this website helping me along enormously. I am currently looking into the Hagen branch of my tree and was wondering if anyone had any information regarding Esther Hunter Hagen. Esther was born in the Denistoun area of Glasgow in 1890, the 11th child of James and Ann Hagen. She married Alexander Fletcher, a ship wright, in 1915. I'm not sure what they did after that, but Esther died at the grand old age of 87 in 1977. Does anyone out there have any info on Esther, or indeed are there any descendants of Esther at all?

Many Thanks

Laurence

Hi

I have had a fairly successful time recently with my family tree research, but have hit a wee bit of a brick wall regarding Annie Ferguson, nee Campbell who lived in Kingussie. She was born Annie Hagen Campbell in Glasgow in 1909. After her mother died she, along with my grandfather and two other siblings, were sent to various foster homes until they were of school leaving age. She eventually settled in Kingussie and married Murdo Ferguson in 1931. They had a daughter Margaret in 1933. Annie died a widow in 1968. Her daughter Margaret died in 1977. As my grandfather is no longer with us, I don't know much about Annie at all. I know that her husband Murdo was a plumber and her daughter Margaret was in a wheelchair all her life. Does anyone have any additional info at all??

Many Thanks

Laurence

IGI lists some of the children, including one born Oct.1867 in Glasgow wich may be reason the year of the marriage was put down as 1866. However, it is a submitted record and would need to be checked against the actual birth certificate to make sure.
There's also an Elizabeth born 1867 in Glasgow listed in IGI and one born 1877 in Pedigree Resource File who died in Scotland but her birthplace is listed as Co. Tyrone. Submitter's details listed.
See www.familysearch.org and do a search on advanced search page wit names of parents only.

I know for definate that there was an Elizabeth born in 1877 as she was my gt grandmother. I have a copy of her birth certificate. I suspect the 1867 one is wrong. I have copy birth certificates of all the siblings (11 in all) as well as the one for Beatrice, a grand daughter. Thanks for the advice aghadowey.
