Hi Euphem,
Thought this may be of interest.
Actress Emma Watson, who plays an exceptionally talented witch and the best friend of Harry Potter in the blockbuster Harry Potter series, has a real-life connection to her role as Hermione. According to the family history research experts, English records show Watson's distant relative was Joan Playle of Essex County, England, a 16th-century English woman convicted of witchcraft in 1592.

While the details around Playle's conviction remain a mystery, records indicate she was unmarried, which could have led to the accusation of being a witch. During the Elizabethan era, women who were poor, old, widowed, single or otherwise unprotected were those most often at risk for such accusations. Based on the research, it appears Playle was not executed for her alleged crimes, but she was excommunicated from the Church of England and was one of only 270 known individuals accused of and tried for witchcraft in all of England during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.

Hi Chatso58,
The Photo of William does sound like in the Warialda book. I can only find one full length of Mary in the book.
If they are taken from actual photos and not just a scan from the book I would love them.
Regards,

Hi Genmom711,
I have no record of siblings for William Playle. He got his ticket of leave 12th Dec 1842 after serving 4 years at Moreton Bay. I have no record of him until he married Mary Ross 14 years later. Perhaps someone has more information??

I've found the missing infant William. He died 20th July 1872 at two days old. I have his death certificate and Mary puts herself as the mother and William as the father, three years after he died! I have no idea who the father was or if the child was Mary's for that matter as she was almost fifty by then. Another mystery someone may have an answer for.
Regards,

Hi Eupham, I have the same info as you. My line is George Albert Graham who had my mother Edith Amy May. I do have most of their death dates if you need them. Also I have info on William Isaac and Alice Logan's children. I have eight listed with all but Bertha and Noel's death dates. I do have Grace Grant nee Graham's photos of the Graham clan that my mother in law obtained. I have a photo of William Isaac holding a baby and a couple of others with Roy and Isaac. Also Mary Jane. If you don't have these I'll scan them and send them to you as soon as I get a new scanner as my old one has given up the ghost!
Regards,
Bob
