Just back on the religion, the death certificate states that service was held in local Church of England church.

My mother is unsure of his religion she thinks it may be either Church of England or Methodist.
When they lived on the farm in NSW, they were some distance from any churches but a Catholic priest would drop by every now and again..... sorry about everything being so vague.

Hi Shane

His father Michael Morgan was a Farmer and sorry I gave the wrong name for his mother, it should be Mary Elizabeth Quinn - that's what was on the marriage certificate as opposed to the death certificate that stated her name was just Elizabeth.

Looking for information on THOMAS PERCIVAL MORGAN

Born 5 Jan c1900.  1970 Death certificate says he was born in YORKSHIRE.
1930 Marriage certificate says he was born in DUBLIN (marr Eva SLATER)
WW2 Nominal Roll states he was born in Craven Arms, SHROPSHIRE

He lied about his age (upping by 2-3 years) to get into WW1.  He lied about his age (lowering it ) to get into WW2.

He emigrated to Australia sometime around 1911 to NSW.

He supposedly had a brother - Arthur - that apparently did not emigrate to Australia with the family.  Heresay - had a sister (Ellen/Ellenor??) that died on board ship while emigrating.
It is also believed the parents MICHAEL MORGAN & ELIZABETH QUINN may have returned to the United Kingdom (Engalnd or Ireland).

Thomas was such a story teller, no one really knows the truth...

Any assistance would to great

Thank you

Mum told me about the stories that he told about the war and she does believe that he did have medals from the first war... but she does not know who got them.  One one of the stories was that he was wounded in the leg in WW1 and apparently patched up and sent back out to fight.  When he was finally repatriated back to Australia he supposedly still had a lump of shrapnel still in his calf.

No... that's the bizarre thing.  I can not even find an  immigration date for either Thomas or his parents Michael & Elizabeth (or Mary Elizabeth) Morgan.

It's like they never existed before coming to Australia.  I can not find a departure for Michael & Elizabeth or a  death listing.

I don't know what to do anymore.   >:(

I too saw have seen this public tree but don'[t know where they got from.  And maybe this is why I am having so much trouble because I am going what is the death certificate.  Eva may not have realised she was  giving the name she used when in fact her christened name Mary Elizabeth.

I just don't know whether he gave his correct age when he got back from the was or just lived by one of the fake birth dates.

I know I am not very helpful...sorry...

I can only guess he went into the army under the same name for both WW.

This has been the hardest line of the family to track down.... so frustrating.  Too many embellishments over the years leaving us with very little hard fact to try to follow.
