World War Two / Fool's Errand?
« on: Monday 29 December 14 21:28 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
I think this is absolutely a non starter but here it goes.
I am trying to trace a Leonard Thomas Taylor to get some rather nice war drawings and diaries back to his family if possible, all I have is that his paperwork says he was in Gambia 1941 and his drawings show the 200 general Reconnaissance squadron logos.
That's it - that's all I've got - any ideas anyone please??

Many thanks Lizzielogs

Barbara Irene Thomas was born in Lambeth 1919 - Hannah probably/ possibly got pregnant by a Welsh lad and scurried back to UK to be near family? In 1911 George was living in Colchester.

Again, Thank you Mrs T.

A little bit of the story Hannah (unmarried I assume) had a child in 1919 Barbara Irene Thomas whose BC I have knowledge of and the mother is named as Adeline Thomas nee Bayley.

The child Barbara was given to Hannah's brother George and his wife Adelaide (confusing similarity in names) who brought her up as their own, the truth only came out sometime around 1950 (vague family memory) when Hannah Adeline died (I can't find a DC for Hannah Adeline either!)

*sigh&

Don't suppose you can apply the same magic and find Hannah's marriage certificate?!

Too cheeky??
