« on: Tuesday 11 December 12 00:24 GMT (UK)  »
Hope you dont mind me leapfrogging into this conversation but I am looking for an Angus Cambell from Killin, born abt 1821 and his fathers name was Hugh. Angus is on the 1841 census serving in the 96th regminent in Bolton on Le moors in England. Trying to break into Scottish genealogy isnt proving easy.any help would be great.

Europe / stargard szczecinski

I believe I have an ancestor called Isaac Elias Dyck that lived in stargard szczecinski in 1812 and have seen the name listed in the 1812 Citizen list. However I need to confirm the he is related to my 2nd great grandfather Louis Dick born 1831 in stargard szczecinski. Does anyone know how I can locate any records of this time. I have also found a photo of a headstone of Marie Mendelson (nee Dick)
Who maybe related she was born in 1846 and died in 1903

I have refound my confusion over the Oesterman question. I have Louis' father as Joseph Oesterman. Louis was born in 1800 which is the same year you have for Joseph and I am wondering if I have somehow mixed up Joseph's. Can you help
