Hi
I came across an article you may be able to access that may have your Guerin family in it. if you go to this link  http://www.limerickcity.ie/Library/LocalStudies/LocalStudiesBooksJournals/TheOldLimerickJournalcontentsofvols28-35/
in Vol 31, winter 1994, there is an article listed called "The life of a Limerick dentist by Michael Guerin".
Hope this helps
cheers

Hello
I have read the above entries with great interest. My GGGG Grandfather, Kennedy Mealey was listed as being from Doonass in county Clare when he enlisted in the British Army(1825).  He could sign his name and that is how he spelled it, however in various different records about him he is spelled Meally, Mealley, O Mealey etc.  to the point that the name of his family that stayed in Western Australia is Maley.  He  is listed in the Mt St Lawrence Cemetery Limerick as having been buried on Sept 15 1882 74yo, address Asylum.  We understand that he became ill in West Aust, went back to England where he was discharged from army, and then he went to Limerick.  His wife and children stayed in West Aust.
I would love contact from anyone researching MEALEY (or similar), Doonass (Clare), and I would love to know what people think that the address Asylum might mean
cheers
Kylie
