Looking at the 1841 census, 4 month old Frank was living with his parents 25year old George, a tailor and his his wife Elizabeth.  This doesn't ring any bells with me.  George isn't a family name of my Kirbys, but not that that means anything.

My Swift Kirbys were also lightermen at Twickenham, which is where the family came from.  There must be a connection, so I will do some investigating.  It might be easier to contact me directly on aol with my user name. Am I allowed to do that? If I can contact you directly then I can send copies of the census records.

Hello

If you have Swift Kirby in your line then we must be related as I come from 300 years of them.  Wendy

Hello Suzey,
Any chance you could look up Frank Francis Swift Kirby please who was termed a Waterman on the Thames at Maidenhead, Berkshire around the late 1880's?
I am not sure about this as I think you are only dealing with London Watermen?
Hopefully,
Abiam

Ps.  There is another one Thomas Humphreys Born 1791 in Aldgate Middlesex Waterman/Lighterman.  Many thanks,
Abiam
