« on: Friday 01 August 25 12:29 BST (UK)  »
Hi
You give no dates, or where info comes from so difficult to search.

Have assumed the following info from findagrave is correct

Benjamin died 3.5.1916 Adelaide, - West Terrace Cemetery
Wife. - Sarah Annie.  his children are also named.
Father - Richard
Mother - Emily

If you have world access to Ancestry there are submitted documents

hope this helps

Family History Beginners Board / Re: Burton upon Trent relatives.

Hi,

I Googled "Burton on Trent association for help and protection of girls"

Various results founded in 1875 as Girls Friendly Society, not until 1920 was it given name above.

Records from 1920 are in Staffordshire Record office, suggest you speak to them about any other records they may have.

Hope this assists

Hi
On children's marriages what name do they give for their father, only checked one and she states George.

Assuming he went by the name George (not Samuel) could this be his death on FBMD

June Q 1939 Neath George S Trickett aged 80 so born apt 1859.

Long Shot but worth looking at.

Derbyshire / Re: John Wall and wife troth of Darley, Derbyshire
« on: Sunday 04 May 25 17:35 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

Looking at the wills on Findmypast I have doubts that the wife of John Wall was named Troth, this is the named entered in the book of Wills but it is not the name written in her actual will or that of her husband. It is also not the name written on the front of her will.

Think you will find that her Christian name is EROTH.

Do you have approximate date of the marriage or date of birth of their first child?

The Common Room / Re: Does anyone know of any current Ancestry special offers?
« on: Monday 14 April 25 14:01 BST (UK)  »
Hi

It is important that you cancel your world wide subscription NOW or it will renew.

Think you will have to wait until September for “special offer” then you can renew using the connections given by Sandra on her post of 22nd March.

When renewing it is important to have cancelled auto renewal in your account and be signed out of your account.

Sandra is best person to advise see her posts.

Derbyshire Lookup Requests / Re: Looking for a few Wills or references to..
« on: Tuesday 01 April 25 13:58 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
The Will of Edward Lomas 1801 states

I give and devise unto my son in law Richard Glossop and my daughter Dorothy now his wife  -goes on to describe property etc.,  TO HOLD TO THEM FOR AND DURING THEIR NATURAL LIVES AND THE LIFE OF THE LONGER LIVING OF THEM.  It then goes on to state who gets the property

Dorothy THE LONGER LIVER could not leave the property in a will because she never owned.

On her death the property would be divided as per the will of Edward Lomas - it was to go the children born by Dorothy     either Walker or Glossop.

May we worth looking in newspapers after Dorothy dies, assume the property would be sold.

Hope this assists
