Hi

Thanks to you all for your replies.

Now understand this quite complicated situation.

Will make contact with the owner of the tree and suggest they make reference to the article and authors where information was obtained.

Hi,

Not sure if this is where this should be posted so apologies if incorrect.

It is about a public Family Tree on Find my Past.  A member has entered details on their tree which has been obtained from a recently published article.  They have failed to acknowledge where their information has come from and that it is copyrighted.

Google says you can enter a correction to this tree, even though it is not yours, cannot work out how to do this. Does anyone know how this can be achieved?

Norfolk / Re: Confusing Baptism Entries

Hi,

It often depends on who performed the christening as to what details are included some were more particular than others.

In this instance it is J B Thompson, if you turn to the next page you will see item no 62 he again records  the Mothers maiden name.

So nothing strange, he obviously felt it important to include MMN.

Hi
For an image see my previous post re picture the past.

There are some records held at County Record office, google search Derbyshire Record office Cataloguie.

Click on this, when page opens click on search the catalogue - enter Alvaston Hall, you are then presented with several results.  Click on blue number on left of page for fuller description of item.

Have assumed the following info from findagrave is correct

Wife. - Sarah Annie.  his children are also named.
Father - Richard
Mother - Emily

If you have world access to Ancestry there are submitted documents

hope this helps

Hi,

I Googled "Burton on Trent association for help and protection of girls"

Various results founded in 1875 as Girls Friendly Society, not until 1920 was it given name above.

Records from 1920 are in Staffordshire Record office, suggest you speak to them about any other records they may have.

Hope this assists

Hi
On children's marriages what name do they give for their father, only checked one and she states George.

Assuming he went by the name George (not Samuel) could this be his death on FBMD

June Q 1939 Neath George S Trickett aged 80 so born apt 1859.

Long Shot but worth looking at.
