« on: Thursday 19 June 25 22:31 BST (UK)  »
Hi there,
Does anyone have access to Stokenchurch PRs for 1938 and 1940/1.
I am trying to establish the parents of James Ashby born and died in June quarter 1938, mother's
maiden name Cundy.
I am also trying to find a baptism for Rodney C Steptoe born 1940/1 . I believe mother was Florence Mary Steptoe

Hi Kathy, Thanks for your response.  Yes still interested.  Sorry for delay in getting back to you, just been busy on other things.  Would love to hear from you. I was there in there until about 1965

Thanks Maddy, you are correct. I've trawled the British Newspaper archive for any info. But thank you for responding.

Good evening
I am currently assisting the church warden in trying to map out the burials in Cadmore End churchyard. If you have any ancestors buried there and know the location of the grave or if you have any information about the church/churchyard please get in touch.
We are also trying to photograph any existing gravestones and decipher any inscriptions so that should they deteriorate over time there will be a record.
Thanking you in anticipation

Thanks Colin.  Sadly there seem to be no follow up reports in the papers as to what if anything was discovered about the cause of death.
Do you know if there are any trade directories for Scotland.  I believe Peter may have been a shoemaker.  His son Charles is my GG Grandfather so I'm really keen to try and find out more about the family.  It seems Harriet was born in Middlesex then somehow finds herself in Kenmore where she marries Peter in 1836, and then by 1861 she is back in Bermondsey, Surrey with son Charles who is now a brass moulder. Can't find her in 1851 and don't know anything about her parents.
Don't you just love these dead ends!

Hello All
I am trying to trace Peter Campbell who I believe was born in Kenmore in 1806 married to Harriet Robinson.  I have found birth and marriage detail via Scotlands People but cannot find death.  On the 1941 census he is with wife and 3 children John, Mary and Charles in Kenmore.  Harriet appears on 1861 census in London with son Charles and is described as widow.  Cannot find the other 2 children.
I have found an article in the  Northern Warder and General Advertiser for the Counties of Fife, Perth and Forfar - Tuesday 07 June 1842 which gives an account of a strange case of poisoning involving the family of a Peter Campbell incl wife and 3 children living in Kenmore.  Peter and the 2 eldest children died.  The article finishes with a quote from the dying man "O Harriet who could have poisoned me and my children".  This leads me to believe this could be the Peter Campbell I am looking for.
I would be grateful for any information regarding this family.
Thank you for reading.

Thanks Milliepede, Unfortunately he appears on the 1911 census as grandson but there is a daughter Caroline in the household who could also be his mother.  That is why I was hoping someone would have access to the baptism records for Pyrton who could identify the mother.
