hello jamjar ,its jonjam, from 1924 the only studholme that was around belonging my grandfathers family was myself and a son of arthurs but i dont knomuch about him after he left school.if i remember correctly he went to live in the edinburgh region and he was never in touch with anyone.yyou see his father and mother split up and she took him with her when she left.none of us know where exactly they went other than edinburgh region.i dont even remember what his first name was so i cant get much help from the any of the sites . i am going away for a break and then i'm going to join a site or so and start again to find him.i might be in the lockerbie area so i might get some help from the records office thereonce again thank you for all your help.

hi jamjar, jonjam here.i received the photo'sand only two documentsbut i will have another search for the others.on the headstone with john and other names on it ,they were members of his family.on the piece you have put on your latest aboutthe marriage i think this could be correct as he did marry some one of that name but i am stiill trying to get to the kendal connection and when he moved there.the other names i seem to recall except elizabeth m.- greggan iam almost certain was marriedmary studholme-richardson. elizabeth m.-greggan i am almost sure was married to arthur and is the one onthe black headstone.the other greggan name on it iam sure was her father.charles whom you have no record of his death is the one i know most about as he came to spend his last few years wirh us and died in 1975. you know, this trying to find names of all who have gone before you is not the easiest of tasksand but for the help of you, wul and ev idont know how far i would have progressed.i am considering paying to try and go further as i have to try and find my dear departed wifes side next but at least one of her brothers is still going strong so he willsurely help. thank you all again for your help.

hi jam jar,jon jam here with a questionabout the certificates you sent. one of them i don't unedrstand as there is no mention of anyone i recognise as being in the studholme family or living in the edinburgh region. the one is  the one with hamiltons, geikie and slater on it.you mentin a marriage ducumenton 6th august and asked for my email address .was this the one i should have got. the marriage was in kendal you say.will wait to hear from you. i cant get any more info on my site for free so i think i shall have to buy some viewing time as i will soon be trying to trace my dear wife's family.once iget some back ground from her only surviving family as he once tried to find out about them years ago but as he had no computer hedidn't have alot of success.
      thanks again .

hi its jonjam again. isee you have been hard at it.to bring a little more light into the picture ihave got info from 1936 as i was 12yrs old and can remember his death and funeral butwas not sutre of the dates until now.under your list of his children only the last four were his children.the other two were not.arthur died approx 1967,j.j. was killed in world war  one. charles in 1975, elizabeth in approx 1985(she was my mother).this is about as much as i know but am not sure of the dates so they must be treated as approx.mary elizabeth nee knowles was i think my grandfathers wife(my grandmother).the part i have no ideas about are the years between staveley(where he was born and his last five years at dryfe bridge which are very hazy.jamjar my email address is:-  * and i look forward to hearing more from you.i have not been in dryfesdale cemetery fo around 20 years but by what you say it must be in a state now, thank you again, will be in touch if i progress any further.
