Thanks so much for your quick response but I guess I won't need the info, but you did at least answer my question about this Robert Leonard.  Here's another one, how do you get the picture on your page, I see the one of your Dad, I tried but not sure how to do it.  Again thanks for your response.

Looking for info on my great grandfather Robert Charles Leonard.  I know he was born in 1882 and I believe he was born in England just before coming to Canada.  I have found a person matching the name born in Thetford, registered Dec 1882.  What I would like to know, is it possible to find the birth parents of this child.  My Robert Leonard's parents are J Leonard and Rebecca Coates-(Maiden Name).  Sorry I have no other information on his parents except what I found in Robert's Canadian marriage certificate.  If any one can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello

As far as I know my Watts family comes from Middlesex or London.  Just learning more about them recently.  I know that my great grandfather Arthur Watts was born 1894 in Paddington, London, England.  His father was born in Marylebone.  I haven't been able to go back further as my g grandfather died very young here in Canada.  There was a sister Ellen Watts (b. 1898) who married C. D. Stops in 1922.  Sorry thats all I really know about them.

Hello again

Wrong info, the Ethel Gertrude Pring I found was in birth registration Jul, Aug, Sept 1879. District Barton R. vol 6a, pg 193.

Not sure of Charles mother's name, I will have to email and ask, do you have a hunch on this Jane?

Must call it a night, have to work at 9a.m. and it's 1:14 a.m. here now.

Nice birthday present you got. Someone loves you.

Thanks again, talk soon

Hello Cougar

Now how is a person suppose to think about family when I see those beautiful tigers in the pictures.  I have noticed them before and they are the most beautiful creatures going.  Actually any feline is.  That's all I have around my place are prints of tiger, cougars etc.  Your a very lucky person if you get to work with them.

Anyway thanks for looking up the Neville name and yes that is the name.  So far all that I have found it the marriages registers confirming that Ethel Gertrude Pring married Charles Roland Neville.  It was registered Oct, Nov, Dec of 1899, in Islington District, vol 1b, pg 617.

I found Ethel's in the 1881 census for Chipstable, Somerset, England as well.  But all I have found is a Charlie Neville registered in Jan- Mar 1873, in Hackney, vol 1b, pg503.  But I can't confirm this is who I am looking for.  I was told he was born in a workhouse so he may not be registered.  Apparently his mother married someone named William Adams in 1874.  Of course I didn't know what was meant by a workhouse.

Anyway thanks for looking, my search continues.  Actually it's not mine, I'm trying to help out a family members husband find his roots.  I did just hear that they came back to Canada after the first war, in 1919.

Enjoy the big cats.

Looking for anything of Charles Roland Neville born Feb 24, 1873 in Hackney workhouse in London.  He married Ethel G. Pring Dec 1899 in Middlesex.  They had three children Montague, Gordon Charles and Edward J.  They came to Canada around 1910 but returned for a visit and had to stay due to the war.  Charles joined Royal Irish Regiment  Looking for any info on these people for another family member.

Hi Carol

Thanks for the reply, I haven't found anything new lately.  I did find a copy on the 1901 census that I was directed too from someone else.  Although it was transcribed as something different this person felt there was an error made.  After reviewing it we all feel the same.  It compares to your info making all the individuals the same age.  The only difference is that I have my grandfather Arthur Edgar born in Feb 1894.  This came from the local obituary and from my grandmother.  And everyone here that is still alive had his sister as being Helen not Ellen.  But as no one ever knew her I feel they could be wrong.  I have letters from England from the 1940's but as my life was in storage for almost a year during a move I have yet to find then.  When I do maybe it will mention her name because these letters came from her mother in Harrow Weald.  I believe they were living together at the time.

All I know of Ellen/Helen is that she married a John Stopps.  I have not given up my search but I had recently located family from my Parish side both in Canada and England and I have been sharing info with them.  It is amazing how long it takes to add all the info to my own family tree maker.

I do feel that the info you found has to be linked as I realized there were inaccuracies in transcibing much of the census materials from the past.  I had also heard from someone who might be linked to the Stopps family of Paddington but I haven't heard back lately.  He was going to check for a link as he was a descendant of the Stopps family and I have know that Arthur's sister married Stopps.

I am going to have to take the time and go through my papers to find the old letters from Harrow Weald to see if I can get any names.  All I know right now is that they came after WWII.  Soon as I do I will let you know if I find anything.

Good to hear from you again, thanks for trying to help me and I will get back to you again.
