Hi, Do you have any information about my 2 x great grandmother, Mary Jane Clapham?  She died on 25 July 1935 at “Langvale” , St. Andrews terrace, Crosshills, Glusburn.  I was hoping to find her burial site and/or record.  Also any Clapham in the area you cover are likely to be my family.  Also the Summersgills of Barden Tower/Bolton Abbey.
Thanks for your help - anything you can find would be great!

Alderney, Guernsey, Jersey, Sark / Robert Anderson & Jane Berry

Robert Anderson was born in Scotland c1824 but sometime before the 1851 CI census he moved to Alderney, boarded with the Le Bons and Berrys in Longis.  He married Jane Berry shortly after 1851 and they had 3 children that I know of - Robert Augustus Anderson b c1852, Elizabeth Anderson b c1854 and William Anderson b c1857 - all in Alderney.  Sometime before 1886 the eldest son Robert Augustus emigrated to NZ.
I would love to know any more anyone can tell me about the Andersons, Berrys and Le Bons in Alderney or perhaps one of the other Channel Islands (they may have moved islands).  I do know what happened to Robert Augustus once he arrived in NZ and would be happy to share that.

George Archbald was born in Kelso, Scotland on 14 March 1873.  By 14 April 1886 he is one of 117 'home children' arriving in Halifax aboard the Beunos Ayrean.  Though I think I have found him in Ontario in the 1891 census, I would love to find out what happened to him in Canada.  He was my great grandmother's youngest brother.
