Yes it was in Goulburn NSW.
Archibald Wilson was his name, He, and his brothers and sister were in the Randwick Asylum for Destitute Children in the 1870,s.
He was 12 when he was sent to Goulburn. His brothers and sister were sent to various places across NSW.
Thank you for your reply

Oh my goodness!!!!! Yes it was Adam McCash
That is so sad.
It seemed Adam had gained a job unlike his mother, brother and sisters who took the road of crime. Mother and one sister were transported to Australia and the other brother died on the hulks awaiting transportation.
Thank you all for that information.

Thank you to all those who have replied so quickly.
Yes, my man is the sheep stealer. Transported to NSW for 10 years.
Most of the information I have came from the documents from the Australian end.
The List Of Convicts on the Lord Lyndoch upon arrival in Sydney listed name, religion, age, married/single, native place, trade, offence, when and where tried, former convictions and physical features.
The ticket of Leave and Certificate of Freedom contained similar information.
I also made an inquiry with volunteers from help@gfhs.org.uk. They were very helpful in supplying information similar to the above.
I have been in contact with the Gloucester Record Office and they put me onto the National Archives. All have been very helpful, however I have had little success in finding the actual trial papers.
It's the trial papers I am hoping to locate so I may be able to purchase and have them sent over.

Gloucestershire / William Harris Convict - Trial Papers
« on: Thursday 17 June 21 04:09 BST (UK)  »
I am hoping to get some advice on how to find and obtain the trial records for my 2xgreat grandfather who was transported to Australia in 1838.
The details I have are -
William Harris
Tried Gloucester City
Lent Assizes
Dates - 10th January 1838 adjourned to 7th March 1838.
Found guilty and sentenced to 10 years transportation.
Came to Australia on board the Lord Lyndoch.

This William Harris not to be confused with the younger William Harris on board the Lord Lyndoch who was given 7 years.
Would be grateful for any assistance given.
Regards
Shakel
