hi Shane sorry just seen your 1st post OK i have everything going forward from 1901 but in reverse order nothing before that date another interesting fact is Lizzie Costello  who at 16 could not read or write was not working but aged 26 in 1911 she is listed as a Shorma Woman now i find this intriguing as i have had a couple of different explanation's of what a Shorma Woman is all help appreciated also if you can point me in direction of pre 1901 that would be a bonus or what sites to look at cheers

Hi shane yes thats them France married joseph Dalton from Armeins st and they were my grandparents young Frances went on from Foley street to corporation building a very notorious place for over crowding
but my grandmother had a stall in O connel street / moore street  during her life time many thanks for quick reply

thank you that was a lovely piece of history and i intend to include that in the portfolio for my family that have no idea of there origins
getting back to my original question any ideas to trace on line relatives before 1901 census
i am aware a trip to Dublin to check all or any records is a must do but would prefer to try via the internet many thanks

i expect this topic has been exhausted but my family lived in Morland Cottages in 1901 they lived at 3.1 and the surname was Costello i have followed their move from there and they stayed in the same local area but don't know how to get earlier info all help appreciated cheers Sushi08
