Cornwall / Re: MARTYN Family of St Columb Minor

Not sure if the Martyns in my tree are connected to those mentioned, my 2nd great grandfather was Samuel Martyn (b. about 1805) on the 1851 census shown as born in Looe Cornwall, he married Jane Minards (b about1814) shown born in Polperro Cornwall, they married in London in London 1833.
Think his father was a John Martyn but that was from other researchers and have found no confirmation of that

Thank you so much, not at all what expected to find there but for me very interesting, remember the house well, even in the 60's no electricity in fact till it was pulled down that was true, it was not that big either.
That is something for me to look into

Cheers for that, but its 9 am interested in, it was where my mum lived, and know it was in the family by 1901.
Assume size of house pretty much the same, how they fitted all in as at 4 no idea, houses not that big.
My grand father john Clark sold horse meat from the house

I view the census pages through Genes Reunited and in the 1891 census there is a record of a William Geary (and family) living at
2 Friars Place
St. Saviour 22
Borough Road
what would like to find out is who was living at 9 Friars Place at same time, but no idea how to look at next page, have tried all names hope/ could be but no joy.

It is a puzzle have just about every thing regarding them except the birth details, there is a birth that kinda fits that found today its
Mar St Savior 1d 191 name is Mary Ann M LAUNDY.

family in them days did not seem to move about much on that side, all in or around Southwark/Blackfriars area

There well could have been a second marriage, but in 1911 census father in law living with son in law and daughter.
thought would need birth details to get her mothers name, is there another way.

Just to clarify - it seem Alfred GEARY was the groom and Ada LAUNDY the bride.

Have you looked for them on the census, to try to establish where and when she was born?

It sounds as though she was married very young, if the age at death is accurate.

 :)

Yes thats them have all the census record, know a fair bit about them, on my mums marriage certificate father in law down as a costa, on some census he is shown as a hawker, its a birth cant find. So far have 10 kids am sure of and have been led to believe there are more, incredible!!!
