Kilkenny / Re: Kilkenny Cassidy / McDonald
« on: Sunday 13 September 15 22:53 BST (UK)  »
Hello again,

Yes, have tried Shipping Records to all Aust. ports. No records of family travelling together, so have assumed that Michael and Patrick, brothers, have travelled without parents, which would make them older, perhaps looking for work. My quest is to find them as a family unit in Kilkenny, thus determining their Irish background. I feel that the parents did not emigrate to Australia. (A 1925 Electoral Roll shows Patrick, electrician, living with Michael and Florence Cassidy in Brisbane, Queensland). Thanks so very much for your help.

Thank you so much for your reply. To date I am still unsuccessful in my search. Roman Catholic records require Parish information, which I do not have. The family is Roman Catholic.
My records are based on original Marriage Certificate. Michael Cassidy, born Kilkenny, Ireland, age 27 married Margaret Florence Forbes, age 21 at St. Stephen's Cathedral, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on 13 Dec. 1911.
