Hi Julier

Like you WAB was my great great grandfather.  I am a descendant of WAB's daughter Annie Elizabeth.  How about you?  Some of WAB's siblings came out to Australia as well.

Yes, I do have lots of information, including newspaper clippings, historical society data, etc and a 70 page document that is missing the last few pages on the history of the The Greaves, Beeley.  I am trying to trace the last few pages of this document which would have the completion of the history and the author's name.

This document has the coat of arms on the front and a picture of the 2 story house which I presume is The Hermitage??? It appears to have been written by a descendant of WAB's as it returns to chronicling WAB's life in Australia on the last few pages I have of the document.

Of course I am always looking to trace relations as well.  Do you wish to communicate outside this forum?  If so how?

Hi
My ancestor is WAB Greaves of Staffordshire, UK.  I have gleaned a lot of information over the years from various sources about his exploits in Australia, particularly in the Grafton district where he was District Surveyor, and am interested in expanding on this information prior to compiling the many pages of hard copies of information into an electronic format.

Information I have includes the family lineage back to the late fifteen hundreds beginning at the family seat at Beely, and then onto Mayfield, Staffordshire and Ashbourne,  Derbyshire, noting these locations are about 5 km apart separated by the River Dove (which is the County border).
