Why do you make this assumption? Do you have any knowledge of these early Sinnett's?

WOW!!!! That was quite a find. I'm not sure my Patrick is related to any of these but there are a lot of offsprings shown that don't go into descendents and he might be part of those. It was great reading and it made it easy to follow the family. I hope you keep on searching. I think your on the right track. Since everyone says he was a member of the Kings Waiters, do you think there is a record of members somewhere that might tie him to someone or someplace? Great Job, Thank You.

There is a lot of information on this board. I to am searching for a Patrick Sinnett or Sinnott born 1752 in Wexford. He came to America in 1773 and landed in Dumfries, Va. so it is said. He married a Catherine Hevener and settled in the Va. / WV area till his deat in 1850. I'm looking for any information on parents, brothers, sisters, anything in Wexford that conects him in his 21 years there. thank you.

My Patrick was born in 1752 in County Wexford. So the story goes????????? He left for America in 1773 after serving for 7 years as one of the King's Waiters. But I've not found any proof of this and the only proof of his birth comes from his pension application he filed when he was 80 years old. There is a clue that might help. There was a Catherine Sinnett of Dublin that married a Robert Cunningham and they also came to America. They may have been related in some way. I hope this helps. Thank you.

I know there were a lot of different spellings but I'd not heard this one before. Yes. I'm still interested to see what might be in them. As you know this is a tough name to find in Ireland. But I still believe ther must be some records out there somewhere. All we have to do is find them.
Thank you.

Tony,
I know the answer is over there in Ireland someplace. There is a family history somewhere with him in it. They may have destroyed the records but not the memories. Around 1750 is the timeframe to look at.

As I mentioned above, this may not even be the right Sinnett line to persue in looking for Patrick, but it seems to get the most attention. Do you have any data on any Patricks in born in the 1750 timeframe? I really appreciate all the helpand time you have put in. Thank you.
