Canada Lookup Request / Re: Canadian Passenger lists
« on: Monday 13 July 09 16:22 BST (UK)  »
I just found him coming through New York, I'm sure I must have viewed it before but didn't make the connection (as the relative he had listed changed their surname), so he came through New York and for whatever reason went to Canada for a while before the 1920 U.S. census and then returned.

Ok, I've done a bit of reading and this is what I'm understanding now - For those entering Canada with their final destination being the U.S. between 1921-1924 there are no passenger list records only border crossing records. Is that right?

Thank you very much Jacquie, I was hoping that would be my Michael as there is no other record of him, it isn't but thank you for helping me rule that list out.
I asked to see the image as I thought they'd have the home town on it but it doesn't, is that usual for Canadian passenger lists?

Would like details on a Michael Morris arriving Quebec in 1920, if it's possible I would be really grateful if a copy of the list could be emailed to me.

Hello. I went back and searched more throughly and found Matildas death certificate, she died unmarried, so that's that line closed. Thank you both again for your help.

Thanks
I'm not sure but I think it was the same year as Matilda which would be 1867.
A question, does them being married in a registry office in 96 mean they were catholic?
