Australia / My Decendants of the TROTTER Family
« on: Wednesday 19 February 14 20:33 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I am also interested in the Trotters, but the descendants of Joseph Henry, Joseph Robert Henry Trotter (I have some doubt as to his exact name) who arrived c1844 on the "Dale Park" and settled in the Camperdown, Cobden, Scott's Creek Area of Victoria. Joseph, Robert, Henry, William, Leslie are all family names in this family.
My mother was a Trotter from this area

Hi
I am aware that it is 3 years since the last post to this topic, but I too am interested in the Sparrows of Frome, Somerset. Love to share information.

Family History Programs, Tree Organisation, Presentation / EXCEL import/Export

I know Family tree Builder exports and imports people and family data as an EXCEL csv file (2 files)

I find that most useful

What other genealogy software does that as well

I'm a beginner at compiling a family tree. I got FTB off one of the discs that come with PC mags.
The best feature I like about FTB is that it allows import of EXCEL csv files. Much easier to put data into a spreadsheet and then import.
However,
I would like to import more data than it recognises, such as parent-child relationships. It does allow import of marriage data.

Very useful to update info, if for example, your spelling of a name needs to be corrected - very quick this way if you have a lot to do.
