Hi Steve,

Thank you again - John Golder, born Bucknell, is definitely my ancestor, but still not absolutely sure that Anne Tebby is his wife (though I know his wife was named Anne). Putting two and two together and possibly making five ! What is your connection with the Tebby family ? I notice that in your list of interests at the bottom of your page, you have several Bucks names. I know that my Oxon Golder/Walton (and possibly Waddup) ancestors have links to the county : Waddesden and Aston Clinton. Just curious !

I am trying to estalish a connection with Anne Tebby born 1768 Cottisford Oxon to John Golder born Bucknell Oxon 1768. There is an IGI marriage between the two in Oving Bucks 1790 so not impossible but wondered if anyone had info about Anne's (daughter of Richard) wherabouts in late 1780s.

Pembrokeshire / Henllan Amcoed - Phillips christening 1822

My ancestor, Levi Phillips, is shown in one census as having been born circa 1822 at Llanddewi Velfrey. I have noted a christening at Henllan in 1822. Would be very grateful if anyone can tell me more about this record - name of father or info about this family. Levi Phillips died in early 1880, aged 58 in Aberdare and was a stone mason.

Trying to find information about Henry Pickering who died in Birmingham in the 1840s, leaving two sons Henry and John and wife, Ann nee Cornwell. In the '41 census he's in Staffordshire with wife plus one baby and also listed is a William, 15 and two young girls, Ellen and Elizabeth, all with the surname Pickering. Henry was a widower and his father's name was William. Henry was probably born around 1810. Have looked at the IGI but no very convincing matches. Does any of this connect with anyone's ancestral tree?  Grateful for any info.

Has anything been published about this industry ? Can anyone tell me if there are directories that cover workers in the industry for this period? I am researching an ancestor who was a gilt toy maker from at least 1815 - 1860 in the Fleet Street area. Grateful for any information.
