I was gonna throw my finished product in there but you all took the cake from me. At first glance I was voting for the second down but then I saw the colorized version and that is just phenomenal.

that is one heck of a question you pose.. dating her poor age lol. I would wager a guess at about 28 or so or possibly very early 30's. You gave 2 clues - her birth date and her older picture.

Great jobs by everyone! wow - a lot of work to bring that photo back to life and it was as bad as it was because it was from 1914 AND the person snapping the photo couldn't focus correctly (most likely the camera).

I think the clues may very well be in the film itself - the texture and sheen - that sort of thing. I'm thinking around 1938ish based on the pants style and hat and taking into consideration the gentleman's age and their love of sicking true to their styles.

using photoshop to enlarge a photo is pretty simple as it likes to keep it all nice, neat and tidy with the pixels pretty well sorted out. Good job!

These are the days I wish I had held onto the old photos my grandfather had from the Korean War because you are all so good at what you do.

That is a great photo he has too! Wow. What kind of colorizing would he like to have on it? It is not easy to add straight color to something without it looking too cartoonish so would it be sepia or a washed out skin tones and clothing?

I can't help you with the date perse but the uniform reminds me of a maid's uniform from around the mid 1900's. Do you want the photo touched up physically or digitally?

Dating photos can be a pretty easy process actually. Dissect the photos by their pieces.. i.e. hairstyles and clothing. There are some great resources available that give you styles through the eras. I can tell by the tie on the one photo that I wold date is around 1889 or so.
