That's fantastic news Pete, it is so nice to hear of family connections and maybe we can exchange family knowledge, perhaps we could discuss via email rather than on here but I am not sure if we can post personal details here.
Which child of Sarah's was your partner born to? Do you live in Cheshire? My cousin knows some of the Barclay family I believe.
Will be great to here from you again and thanks for getting in touch.

Chris.

Hi All,

I just wanted to say thanks so much for all the info you have provided. I didn't get any notification to say I had all these replies and I haven't been on rootschat for a good while so this was a great surprise when I logged in tonight.
I was researching for a friend who is trying to find out if John Paddison has any living relatives to contact as part of a tribute to all those on the Sawtry War Memorial.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for getting in touch. I continue to research the Stevenson's but have been a bit inactive of late. I would be very grateful for any information you have and I am curious as to your connections, if any, to the family.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for your help Carole. I did wonder about the Moore marriage but as yet have no way of confirming that.
I did find the entry on 1911c but my Ancestry membership has expired so maybe I will buy some credits and have a look at it.
I think the CWGC info is correct and is the same person.
Thanks again. Curttom

Huntingdonshire / Paddison family in Bury/Sawtry

Hi,

I am trying to find any info relating to John Frederick Paddison. He is listed on the Sawtry War Memorial as being killed in the first world war and I have found the details of his death on the British Legion site but I would like to find out where and with whom he was living in Sawtry. I believe his father was born in South Africa and at the time of the 1901 c he was living with his family in Bury Hunts. This is assuming this is the family of the J F Paddison who is named on the Memorial.

Thanks for any info, Curttom.

Hi,

Does anyone know anything about a photographic service called McKenzie's Stores based in Aberdeen.

Amongst some old family photos, I found a postcard photo of this shop with a row of people outside and I am trying to find the significance of it.

I would appreciate any help, thanks.

Hi,

Not sure if anyone would be able to help me but I have found a funeral card amongst many more of my Hall family.
It is for Frances Elizabeth Peacock (neeHall I think) she died 26 Apr 1923 aged 40 and was interred in Yardley Cemetery.
Problem is I can't find a marriage record for Frances Elizabeth Hall b. Huntingdon to confirm that this is my relative.
I am sure that the card belongs to her as it was with other family member cards.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Roy,

As far as I know there are no Mill's that I have come across in our family, It looks like Ada was a servant in this household.

Good luck with your searching.
