Dear Kenhar & Deadants,

Thank you enormously for your efforts, the end results are far above my expectations so I am delighted.

Thanks again, and again, and again...........

Best wishes

Marc.

Dear Kenhar & Deadants,

Sorry but I think I gave you the wrong information regarding which side of her hair to reduce. When looking at the portrait it's the thicker mound of hair on our left (her right) that I want reduced, the other sides fine. English never was my strong point :-\

The pregnant belly is spot on, I think I can just about make out my left foot :)

Thanks again, I am really chuffed about this.

Best wishes

Marc.

Dear kenhar and Deadants,

Thank you enormously for taking the time to work on the photographs, your efforts are marvellous and very much appreciated.

Trying desperately 'not' to sound like I am taking liberties, would it be possible to reduce the thickness of her hair/shadow on the left side of the photograph and then slightly increase the shadow where her stomach is as she's actually pregnant in the photograph. (Thats me in there ;D)

Don't worry if not as the image is far better than I expected already.

Best wishes

Marc.

Dear all,

Would anybody be kind enough to try and make the attached photographs presentable? The first one is paticularly rough while the second only needs the little blemish centre left removed.

Any attempts will be gratefully received.

Best wishes

Marc.

Hi Catherine,

I would be very happy if you could provide any info on the surname 'IDE' in Sussex.

Many thanks

Marc.

Thanks.

I need to go and get them scanned as my scanners broke. I'll do this within an hour and send them off.

Thanks again.

Dear all,

Sorry to gatecrash this thread but I have the same request as Miriam. I have 2 wills that I have 'attempted' to transcribe, 80% complete, dated 1548 & 1557.  Some sections don't make grammatical sense, which probably means I am at the stage where I am making words up.

If anybody would be willing to help then please contact me and I will email scanned copies plus my transcriptions.

Best wishes

Marc.

PS: What file size should the copies be?

Sussex Lookup Requests / Re: W Collins

Hi danoe,

You'll find the Collins surname prevalent from the 17th century forward in Iping & Chithurst.

My 5th Greatgrandmother was Jane Collins 28 Nov 1778, born to William & Martha at Iping West Sussex. She married James Ide 3 Jun 1799 at Iping. The Ide surname is my main interest.

I am going to the SOG today and will look to see if they have a copy of the Iping 1841 census. If they do I will check for William and let you knoe.

Good luck

Marc Ide.

Edit: This looks like your William found on the IGI:

William Collins b 22Sep 1828 chr 28 Dec 1828 Iping.
