Hi David
In a previous message on this thread you quoted the children of Jonathan Gray and Sarah Godman.

I am writing to see if you have any more information about their eldest child, "John Gray bapt 30 Mar 1788  Upton cum Chalvey". Do you know if this John Gray married Mary Todd (bapt 17 Oct 1788 Eton) in Eton 3 Oct 1808?

My great great grandfather Henry GRAY  bapt 3 May 1818 Upton was, I believe, the son of John GRAY and Mary TODD. Henry's son, George GRAY (born 3 Sep 1844 Westminster, Middlesex) came to Australia as an orphan in 1860. George came out with a family by the name of WALKER and the shipping records show that there was already an Uncle named George GRAY already in the colony (Sydney) at that time.

Anyway, just writing to see if you know any further info about this line of the GRAY family and whether you have any Walker families on your tree and if you know of any other GRAY family emigrants to Australia.

Thankyou for the information you posted about the GRAYs! I do have information on the Australian Grays, but won't go into it now as there may not be a connection.

Regards
Debbie :)

Hi Carol
Just checked my posting from 2004 (where did that time go?) and I noticed your December 2008 posting on Robert McVitty!

Thank you so much for posting the information about Robert - he has been very elusive to date.  Now I have something more to go on!

Regards
Debbie in Australia
