Many thanks  :)

My relative William Bucknall died and the cause of death was Bursting of a boiler, Information received from John Richardson, coroner for Burton-on-Trent. Inquest held on 3rd June 1865. William’s occupation at the time of death was ‘Engineman’.

Does anyone have any idea how I can find information about this?

Many thanks

My g-g-g-g-grandfather William Bucknall (b1780) married Ann Whittingham at Spondon on 18th April 1805 and had four children. I then found William in the 1841 and 1851 census, but married to Sarah. I found a marriage between William Bucknall and Sarah Hall in 1820, again in Spondon but cannot find Ann's death. Does anyone have any info on Ann, or hints about how to find out when she died
Many thanks

Thanks for the advice. I am researching the Goodhead family and most of them seem to have disappeared in the 1871 cencus. I will follow your advice.

I know how you feel, I think this hobby makes us obsessive!

I think I now know the whereabouts of nearly all the Cowleys. Am pretty sure that the Cowley you knew was my gr gr Uncle. If you feel the urge to know any more about the Cowleys just say, I have I think found them all.

Thanks for the 'scroll down' advice................so simple, yet it might have taken me weeks to find.

Thanks

Hi Molly,

I have Joseph in the 1891 census living with Sarah Jane at the Queen's Arms Pub. He died later that year aged 34.

Bertram was Joseph's brother, born around 1875

Kelly's directory looks great, thanks Pat

Best wishes

Alfie
