thank you for you help i thought that might be the case . but I'm coming to south wales in feb and thought i see if there was any near i know there is one in Abercregan as when i was a little girl my Gran took me to stay there but that was in the late 60s

I wonder if anyone could help  I'm trying to find out which pits my gt grandad could of worked at , in the 1911 census  the family where living in margam st caerau near maesteg ,his occupation is down as collier hewer. also was it usual for them to go from a stone quaryman to coalminer as when he married in 1898 that is what is written in his wedding ceft .
his name was Robert Brown married to matilda frances(Taylor)

John Edward Morris 1903
do not know when Gruffed Allan Morris was born
and yes i have been on 1911 census as that is how i found out the address

I wonder if anyone can help my grandfathers uncle run the smithy in llansantffraid his name was James Morris his son also run it till 1960 his name was gruffudd allan Morris James came from llansilin  but was working the smithy in 1910  i know this bit as found a article  showing this he was also the verger and choirmaster  i know he is in our family tree as he was on my grandfathers death cert his name was John morris( he died at the smithy but buried in llansilin church )  and his wife was Elizabeth my grandfather was also John edward but known as ted
I hope someone knows something about this side of the morris as i have hit a brick wall

can anyone help my grandfathers uncle used to be blacksmith in llansantffaid he went there in 1910 and i have found a article saying his son also was there till 1960 i wonder if any one knows anything about the family there names where James Morris b 1879 he had a son called gruffudd allan Morris i don't know much about this side of the Morris but i know he came from llansilin his mother name was Elizabeth and father john his father died at the smithy as James name was on the death cert would love to find out anything

can someone please help me translate this i found a old photo with my grandfather on at school but it is in welsh it was taken in 1911 and it says YN y llun uchod  gwelir Ysgol(i think that school ) Rhiwlas  tua 1911 Derbynlwyd gan mr g gwilliam (i know thats the teachers name) Croesoswallt
