I have the Marriage certificate of 24 Sep 1862 for John Browning age 22 and Barbara coulson age 23, John was a mariner and resided at south dock in sunderland and his father was john Browning a commercial traveller.  In the presence of Thomas Jefferson and Elizabeth Jefferson, Eliza was barbara's sister.  His birth should be about 1840.

n 1841 Uk census - Well Street, Tower Hamlet,  Poplar, London MDX
Thomas Browning (45) Mariner
Jane Browning (41)
Jane Browning (13)
John Browning (6)
Mary Browning (2)

I do not have any certificates.  I am applying for a death certificate of Thomas

The Lighter Side / Re: Connection between tragic incident and court case?

Great reading.  I am researching John Wagstaff family as mentioned in the 1841 Census and his son George Wagstaff who went to NZ and was the blacksmith and farrier in Howick in 1855. But I can't find his bap/birth in Bredon in about 1831.  Have found the others in the said 1841 Census with John and Ann (she appears to be perhaps Nancy Adams).  Any help would be greatly appreciated to find George Wagstaff bap or departure records to nz.

RE:  1841 Census

I noticed that he was in the same area "Carpenters Yard" but a few names down the list so he is not actually listed with them as such.

I will have a look at the website too.  Thank you
