Hello there!
I am a student at Juniata College in Pennsylvania, US. I am currently researching a collection of prints for an upcoming exhibit at our Museum of Art. I found a 'collectors' mark' on one of the early (at least 1800s or earlier) that contains the initials 'RL'. It is almost the same as a collectors'/dealers' mark used by Samuel Leith, Lithographic Designer & Dealer in Prints of Edinburgh (probably a dealer around the 1850s). I was hoping you could offer me any information you may have on a predecessor or successor to Samuel who would have had the initial R instead of S. Thank you so very much.
