Thank you Davik for your input.  I printed off on the census the address which she gave on her marriage cert in 1911 even though she was not on it I was curious to see where it was and who lived there.  I was surprised to find an array of people staying at this address, none of them related, it look like a boarding house of some kind in Barry, Sth Wales, which got me thinking that maybe she had come from overseas or from another part of England perhaps.  It is a tricky one, but Daphne, if that is her real name must have come from somewhere, so I will keep on looking until I get lucky. Now the 1911 census is out for Glamorgan I still cannot find Daphne Jurie she had not married Gwilym Perkins when the census was taken, they married in 11/11/1911.  On their marriage cert she was Daphne Jurie maybe she was born with a different surname and changed her name to Jurie, could that be possible.

Thanks Omega thats absolutely lovely, I have heard Pembrokeshire is very pretty, I was actually born in Wales but am living in Western Australia which unfortunately is a bit of a trek for me now but thanks for the tip.  I think I do have an Aunt on the Thomas side of the Family who has a guest house on the water front somewhere at Tenby but have yet to find her married surname her maiden name is Doreen Thomas but thats another story.  But when I next visit I will give it a try!

Can anybody help me find out about Catherine Bowen about b1867 and her family.  On the 1901 census her birth place was in Newport, Pembs she married Benjamin Perkins abt 1887 they lived at pennchafydre, Maenchlochog Benjamins family home for a short time which is where their first son was born Gwilym Meredith Perkins in 1888 and then they moved to Glamorgan.  Any information on Catherine Bowen would be a help as I know nothing about her family at all.

Lincolnshire / The Binns Family Glanford Brigg

Can anyone help with information about the Binns Family from Glanford Brigg.  William was born around 1825 and married Susanna Parkinson and they had a son Charles Henry Binns who married Ada Clark and they had a daughter Frances Binns plus other siblings, in the 1911 census a nurse child Francis Grant his birth certificate 1907 has his mother as Annie Francis Grant, occupation pianist, also have an interest in this lady too if anybody knows anything apparently she played the piano in the Angel Hotel, Glanford Brigg,  wondering how Frank became a nurse child to the Binns family in the first place could he have been related to them, no father's name on birth cert.  In 1911 census Ada was not living with Charles she was at another address.  When their daughter Frances Binns married she became Frances Durham and took the nurse child with her.  William and Susanna I think were still alive in 1911 census aged in their 80's.

Thanks for that Rover72, I have printed off a copy of that info.  Now I have another snippet of info.  Annie Francis Grant supposedly mother of Francis Grant was a Pianist, which is stated as her profession on her sons birth certificate in 1907.  I have gleened a bit more information that she played the piano in the Angel Hotel in Glanford Brigg, maybe there is someone out there who might have some or any information about this.

Hi Osprey,

I am hoping the 1911 census will help with tracing her, well I hope it will, so you say that sometimes the registrars just spell it how they think its spelled by hearing the name.
