Hi Pete
I was really excited about your post.  The Sewards are my ancestors and I tried to find information about them but wasn’t that successful.  I did find a few newspaper adverts but that’s about it.  I would really be interested in reading what information you had found out if you would be kind enough to share it.

Hi Pete
Joseph Seward is my 4 times great grandfather would be happy to exchange information.  I haven’t done any research for a few years so will have to dig stuff out but would be interested to know what line you come from.  I come from Ada-Jane line and Robert stagg.

Hello Tom
Thank you for contacting me, I read your reply with interest.  From what I have found out I know that .
Margaret's father was George Lister baptised in Halifax Yorkshire on the 6 0October 1816 and his father was john Lister born c1796'in Halifax Yorkshire.  It is definitely a coincidence that your John Lister was also a cabinet maker and lived close to where the family moved to.  I wonder if they were related somehow and that is why the moved to the area.  Do you know your John Lister's parents names or where they were born?

Yes she was a Spinster on her marriage certificate, but thanks everyone for taking the time to reply.  it is a bit of a brain twister.  Just another one of those dead ends.
Best Wishes

In the 1861 Census The mother is living with her parents and siblings and by the 1871 census she is married.  The husband could be the childs father but on the 1871 census the child is described as 'child of wife'.  I am going to try and see if there was any Bastardly Warrants or Bonds available at London Met Archives for this period to see if the family are named here.  Thanks for the advice though, something simple like that can be easily overlooked.

Yes that sounds very similar to the family im researching.  It is frustrating isn't it but we can only find out what the family wanted us to know don't we.

Hello,
Yes I purchased the certificate.  His birth was registered in the Sub district of Amwell Clerkenwell.
