Lancashire Lookup Requests / Preston Lancs look-ups
« on: Saturday 10 January 09 19:14 GMT (UK)  »
Looking for the death dates for Joseph and Ann(Green) Hague. Both were born in Preston Lancs  in 1887 and I do know that Joseph was buried in the R.C. section of Preston Cemetery and hope that Ann is also buried there. I need their death dates and would very much appreciate a look-up from some kind Preston city dweller.
Best regards........Dorinda

Hi Catherine: thanks again for your help and guidance.

I will post on the message boards for the Hague girls and hope someone responds.
If nothing happens there, perhaps I'll  try and pursue another branch of the family.

It is very difficult to trace  family when living on another continent, not to mention expensive.
However, I remain hopeful that I'll find a connection that will lead me to family in the 20th century.
Best regards   Bev

  Hi Catherine:
Just wondering if I should have posted the family somewhere else or is this where you expected me to post it?
I know it will be very difficult to find these people without a census so my expectations are not high but I remain hopeful.

Best regards: Bev

Hi Catherine: I am taking your welcome advice and posting the family of John Hague (b.1856) and Ann Helm Hague (b.1856) both born and married  in Preston Lancs.
They had 3 daughters: Ann b. 1879
                                     Ellen b.1883
                                      Alice b. 1884
1891 census: John Hague age 34
                        Ann   "         "    34
                         Ann                  11
                         Ellen  "          "   8
                         Alice    "         "   7
                         John  Hague  age 72

1901 census:   John Hague age 44
                         Ann                    44
                         Ann                     21
                         Ellen                   18
                         Alice                    17
I have no idea where they were after the 1901 census because death & marriage records do not indicate any family connections to cross check to ensure that the name belongs to that particular Hague family. And of course there are many, many Ann/Alice /Ellen Hagues.
This family is only one of about 122 plus Hagues that I can't seem to connect to the 20th century. John Hague was my grandfather's first cousin, their fathers were brothers.
If anyone can shed some light on this particular group I'd be thrilled!
Thanks again ......Bev

Hello Catherine & Bob: thank you for your replies.
I have ploughed thru many many lists of my Hagues from 1723 to 1914 but cannot seem to follow one family with their many kids down thru the descendent line. I loose track of them when they are not in the next census or the family breaks up because the mother has died.
For example: my grandfather's nephew I know was born in 1896 in Fylde. I have a photo of him  with his father in 1917 in what looks like an Navy uniform. However try as I may I can't find another thing about him. I even tried tracking him thru the AncestryBMD death lists thinking that he could have been a war casualty. I finally stopped at 1925.
If you have some creative ideas on how to connect these people to today'descendents, I would be most interested.
Thanks again
Bev

Hello all: I am  posting for  Hague connections from  Preston Lancs and close vicinity.
They have been in the area for 200+ years but there doesn't seem to be anyone around after 1912, except for Florence Hague born 1912 died in Preston 1996....unmarried with no relatives according to the probate and will.
On my Gedcom I have 122 ancestors all living in the Preston area.....and no connections to anyone today.
Is this is unusual? Or am I just not looking in the right places.
Cheers

Pegasuss: (& Margaret) thank you so much for your research on the Fullaloves. That info rounds out my knowledge of the Fullalove family. I knew they had been around the Preston area for a long time but now I have that  connection.

I started all this research 3yrs ago trying to trace my Dad's large Preston Hague family but with no luck for living relatives whatsoever. So I'm hoping the Smith's, as my greatgrandmother's family, will be a closer connection.

John Thomas Fullalove then was Emma Walburga Smith's husband and I do have a fair bit of info on the Smith's. So I will try to find their son James and Ethel's line and follow it if possible.
Again I am most grateful for your help and interest.
Best regards .......Bev

  Hello aggiebagwash and pegasus:
Thanks so much for your interest in my Fullalove/Cartmell bunch.

John T Fullalove and Emma Walburga Smith Fullalove were James Joseph Fullalove's parents.
His greart aunt (his mother's aunt Jane Smith) was my great grandmother Jane Smith Hague.

The Smiths (parents Michael &Rose) were from Ireland but had most if not all their kids in Preston.
I have almost given up on finding any living Preston Hagues, even though they seemed a pretty prolific bunch.
Since  there were 8 Smith kids born last half of 19th century I thought there has to be some living Smiths related to me thru my gggrandmother Jane.

That is why I thought to pursue the Smiths thru James Fullalove.
So I need to find offspring of James and Ethel from 1915 & on

PS...what is a PM and how do I send it?

Thanks & best regards ....Bev

Hello all:
Does anyone recognize the names James Joseph Fullalove born 1896 (Preston), and Ethel Cartmell born circa 1896-97 in (Preston).
They may have married in 1915.
  Cheers
