Occupation Interests / Llightermen Look up Please - LAMING?

Hello. Very new here. My GG-Grandfather ( Hiram Walter Laming b. 1828 Crayford, Kent.) was a lighterman, as was his father Richard Lamming (b. about 1798 Erith, Kent.) Can someone see if they can trace either of them ( or any other Lamings, Lammings ) on the Lighterman records for me? Don't know if I'm doing this (my first ever posting) correctly, but here is hoping it gets on to this board. Thanks - G-bird.
