Many thanks to all of you - your help is much appreciated - just by glancing at the first few entries I can tell that it is all tying up as Lily Malinda seems to be a family name.

Many thanks again

Dear "Cousin",

Having just 'found' 'Uncle John's' wife to be Ann Matilda Causier - I now see where you fit in to my family tree (I belong to Annie Carr 1871).  It also explains why when I was clearing out my Great Aunt's posessions after she died 9in the 80's) I found a beautiful & huge brouchure for Forest Lawn Cemetery (looking like it was from around the 1930/40's).  Although I must say that the photo I have of "John & Annie" taken "in another corner of our living room" did not lead me to expect them to be in America - just goes to show - they must have gone back after 1901.  In fact I thought I'd found a further record of John coming back to England later on - I'll have another look if you like

Get in touch

US Lookup Requests / Re: Mary Medora Carr & Frank Earl

Many thanks for this, much appreciated.  I must be going blind as I checked both the 1891 and 1901 census on two different websites.

I'll check again

US Lookup Requests / Mary Medora Carr & Frank Earl
« on: Thursday 30 April 09 17:33 BST (UK)  »
Mary Medora Earl (nee Carr) christened 5th April 1868 in Castleford, Yorkshire, England and husband Frank earl (30th June 1867, Clifton Bedford, England) have disappeared from the England census after 1881.  As Medora's brother emigrated to the USA after 1881 I am wondering if she did the same.

Any information that anyone can give me about my Great Grandmother's Sister would be appreciated

Hi Trevor,

Re the message you received about Ann Carr returning from Wisconsin.

She and her husband  and children came back to England via Montreal arriving in Liverpool on the 25th August 1894.(UK immigration records)

Do you know when they emigrated to America and what they did there

Many thanks

Carole
