Hi Louisa
I think we might just have to accept that either the records are "lost" or that they never were baptised at all.   They could have course been baptised outside of the area, but where?
Another brick wall I am afraid.

Regards
Margaret

Hi again, it is May1995 not Arjem although they have been very helpful to me in the past.

I dont know whether Daniels middle name is someones surname. Havent traced a Davis anywhere although of course Daniel comes from Ann Kitchens father. One of Curtis' children Jane has Starkey for her middle name and I dont know where that comes from either.   Lots of the Curtis descendents have Curtis in their name presumable after Christian Curtis and there are a number of Christianas too.  My husband, who is the Stevenson has Curtis as his middle name.
Like you I concluded that two of the sisters married two brothers.

So I assume the one who was a missionary is the link to your family in Australia.

Hi
My husband is related to Curtis Stevenson via his son Daniel Davis Stevenson. I am afraid I dont have any access to Medbourne PR. The only information I have is that given above by Arjem.   Medbourne is a small place today and can only assume it was in the 1700s, so I have assumed that there could not have been many Stevenson families there at the time. On that assumption I have placed Thomas and Christian as his parents and brother and sister were William and Mary.   Arjem has tied up William and Mary to them via Christian's death certificate and William's daughter Mary's will.    I have found a link in London in the early census in that Curtis' son Curtis was working for a John Rose in Shoreditch. 2 census later Williams son Joseph was managing John Rose grocer shop. In addition to that Curtis son Charles and his wife were witness  to Joseph Marriage.   However I still dont have a definate connection and have to assume that in this instance I am correct. I would like to find the "missing link".
I did visit Market Harborough to see the PR lodged there but can only find the marriage of Thomas and Christian. If they did have their children baptised, they were not in the registers I looked at.

Sorry I cant be of any more help

Hi

My husband is related to Curtis Stevenson and I would like to know if possible your connection with Thomas and Christian. Also where did you get the names of William Mary and Naphthali.

I agree with you that none of the children appear in the Parish records for Medbourne. We took a visit to Market Harborough where the copies are and could not find them. Maybe they were baptised elsewhere but lived in Medbourne?
