Hi Sue Yes I am descended from Robert Irwin who came to NZ and was the son of Joseph Irwin. I have some history of Joseph's family in Warwick Australia but have never found out what ship they came over on or the date. There are some wonderful family photos that I am trying to locate. Ron Affleck who is Gladys Irwin's son did a wonderful family history and was printed in the 1970's and the photos that are in that history which are very grainy and I presume the originals must be somewhere. Any info would be fabulous. Thanks Louise.

Hi Saw your post and am wondering if you can help me. I am looking for further information on a ancestor John McQuarrie, who gave his profession on his sons' marriage certificate in 1959 as “Police Constable”.
Not sure when or where born in Scotland but  think is it is around the Invernessshire area about 1813. His son John McQuarrie (McQuarry) was born 8th Dec 1835: Baptized 22nd July 1837 Father: John Mcquarrie & Isabella Gordon: "Sheriff Officer", Dingwall
Would really aprreciate any help or who to contact info would be most appreciated, Thanks Louise Sutherland in New Zealand

These are my relatives, have done a bit of reasearch, too much to post here as can only post so many words, let me know if interested and please post a contact email address and I can fill in some gaps. My maternal great grandmother is Mary Jane McQuarrie daughter of John McQuarrie b.1836 and Jean Patterson b.1834. She married Willaim Henry Spencer in 1891 and had 8 children. Will wait to hear Louise
