Yes, that was the case then, but not now. The Presbyterians & Methodists in Enniscorthy split about 8 years ago and set up separate congregations again. I'm quite sure that there was never a Presbyterian congregation in Gorey, only a Methodist meetinghouse (which is still there).

I think that the Wesleyan Methodists had a congregation in Gorey. Not sure that the Presbyterians ever did.

In Ireland (outside of Ulster and Dublin) there are (were) really very few Presbyterian congregations. To the best of my knowledge, I think that the main to congregations in Co. Wexford were Wexford town and Enniscorthy. Wexford town's records are: baptisms: 1849 - and marriages: 1846 -; Enniscorthy's: baptisms: 1866 -; marriages 1871 -.

Hope this helps.

Hello FinglasMorrison,

Would you know anything about one of Rev. Simpson G. Morrison's sons, David Beggs Morrison? He was born in Dublin about 1850 and died here too in 1922. Would you know anything of his children?

Cheers,

Steven
