Hi Danchaslyn... ;D ;D ;D

I'm still tempted with the tablecloth..  I thought i could even hang it on my wall...  like the tapestries of olden days..  so that may still happen..

But I have..

( due to the kindess of a friend...  who  took pity on me and downloaded it too just so she could walk me through it!!!)

..... actually got the tree started.. so thats something..

I thought it was going to sit there like a white elephant on the desk top.. for ever and ever with me being too scared to do more than peep.

So am feeling quite happified at the moment..

Hi Jobarnes..  ;D  Happy hunting to you too..

I've found some good tips in the Cheshire section....

Its pointed me in the direction of the BMD..  and for the first time i feel i'm actually making some progress.. ;D ;D ;D

Feeling brave I decided to jump in the index.. and work my way through it starting with A..  its a slow process.. but I love it when I find someone I know..
Its makes you realise that people are never really gone...

Thanks Silvery... I'll have look at those...

I live abroad and at the moment pick my mums brain over the phone.. and go searching on the internet..  so anything found  online is already on the computer..

I'd describe myself as more imaginative than organized..  so this is quite a challenge for me..

Thanks again..

I'm being dragged off to the kitchen   to feed the flock now but will have a peep later...

Hi.. could anyone recommend a free family tree maker..
before I become buried... by bits of scribbled information..

I've looked on Google... and there seems to be as few possibilities..  but I thought I'd ask here first...  to see if anyone can suggest anything..

I was actually thinking of writing on a large tablecloth...  as what starts as a very small tree soon seems to get very big.. particularly as I start to reach past my great grandparents.

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated..

Ps.. its not that I object to paying.. and expect everything for free.. its just  that I have no access to plastic ,(and so online payment even of a  small amount ,) at this time..

( which was why I thought of the table cloth.. or maybe a sheet would do..!

... I've even been eyeing up the kitchen walls!!!)
