Hi All

I used to have my head buried in the sand and stubbornly refused to believe that my family came from anywhere else but NSW Australia..... :-[

Boy have I been set straight  :D

Not only have I found relleies in NSW but VIC. & Qld. and would you believe England,Ireland,Scotland and Germany(I think Fuggar is German)   :o    ;D

From Lancashire and Cambridgeshire to Inverness and Limerick to Parramatta and Mudgee and back to Yorkshire...............and I'm loving every minute of it............. ;D ;D

Hi Kate.............ummmmmm not sure about Irish Counties  I'm afraid but information I have says Limerick and there was talk about Cork so I'm really not sure but maybe if I check out the Limerick one first.
Next question is how do I go about checking the Griffith Valuation from here in Australia?
If you mean Catherine's children then yes I have all 10 names and places of birth.
Catherine & George's eldest and first son was Thomas born & died 1869,their second son,the fouth child born was George H J.

Hello
I'm searching for any information about my great grandmother Catherine Geary who was born c.1848 Limerick Cork who immergrated to Australia in 1864 and arrived aboard the "Morning Star" in Sydney aged 16 with her Sister Mary aged 18.Their elder brother Patrick born c.1840 Limerick was already here at that time, although I can find no trace of his arrival.

Catherine married George Richards in Tumut nsw 10th November 1868 but unfortunatley neglected to list her parents names on the marriage certificate.

Any suggestions as to where I can continue my search would be greatly appreciated .
                     regards Arnie Fletcher
