Ann,
Sorry I don't have the house numbers, the street name is hard enough to figure out, the 1851 census returns were on very large pages to large to scan so they address has been cut off.
Give me a few moments and I'll post the Maiden details.

Rough Lane Broseley 1851:
Head:Maria maiden age 53 Widow born Salop Wenlock
Son George Maiden Unmarried age 26 Bricklayer born Barrow
Son William Unmarried age 24 Day Labourer born Barrow
Daughter Fanny Unmarried age 20 Domestic servant born Barrow

I could find no other Maiden families in Broseley 1851

Here's another possible family member 1851 census for Broseley:
Can't read the address but it's next to Workhouse Road and only a few households away from your Bagnalls at Delphside

Living with Head Ann Roden Widow age 55 Dress Maker born Broseley
Lodger Ernie Bagnall unmarried age 25 Bricklayer born Broseley

A few pages away at can't read something  Willey Road
Head Elizabeth Price Widow age 43 Tollgate Keeper born Broseley
Sister Ann Bagnall Unmarried age 20 or 29 proberly 29 (shes at the bottom of the page so the writing joins the totals) Servant born Broseley
Daughter (I Think) Ellen Bagnall Unmarried age 18 Servant born Broseley
Daughter Catherine Price unmarried age 14 Servant born Broseley
Son Edward Price Unmarried age 11 Scholar born Broseley
Daughter Eliza Price age 7 Scholar born Broseley

I just wanted to check something before I posted this:

I have found your family in 1851 but they are down as Bagnall
I have cross referenced with 1871 and the Edwin which I will list below is a Bagley in 1871 There are no other families that match so I'm sure they are yours.
Living Delphside Broseley:
Head Edward Bagnall married age 30 profession coal Miner born Broseley
Wife Elizabeth Bagnall age 29 profession Homekeeper born Broseley
Son Edwin Bagnall age 10 at Home born Broseley
son Jonas Bagnall age 8 at Home born Broseley
son George Bagnall age 6 scholar born Broseley
son Alfred Bagnall age 4 at Home born Broseley
son James Bagnall age 1 at Home born Broseley

in 1871:
Quarry Road Broseley:
Head Edwin Bagley Married age  30 profession Coal Miner born Broseley
Wife Eliza Bagley age 26 born Broseley
son Henry Bagley age 1 born Broseley

there are no Edwin Bagnalls born Broseley or in Broseley in 1871

1871 in Broseley not sure of street:
Jonas Bagnell? (hard to read) married age 28 profession salon(? Again hard to read) born Broseley
Wife Elizabeth age 26 Profession Boat Builder born Broseley
Daughter Mary Jane age 6mths born Broseley

In 1881 Jonas turns into a Bagley!
Living Lower Church St next to Foundry Lane Broseley:
Head Jonas Bagley Widower age 38 profession Coal Miner born Broseley
Daughter Mary J age  11 Scholar born Broseley
Lodger William Smout Married age 42 profession Waggoner born Benthall
Lodger Martha Smout Married age 42 born Broseley

so it looks like you need to follow up Bagnalls and Bagleys.

If the marriage I gave you for from the free BMD website for James is yours then it seems Likely that Mary A was a Pountney, there are quite a lt of Pountneys in Broseley in 1871

Hi,
If anyone has access to the 1841 or 1851 census for Harborne please could you look for a George Troth and his wife Anne

It's for a freind who has been trying to solve a mystery for many years all he knows is the couple were married in Harborne in 1823 both of the parish with consent of parents so we don't know the ages.

Any help with this would be a wonderful breakthrough for him.
Many thanks for any help Becky
