Hi

I am a descendant of the BURRIDGE family of Crediton, and have done a lot of work on them.

I'm happy to assist, if I can. I would also be interested in your links.

Hi,

I've just added Stephen Small to my family tree. His step-father was a John Kingshott, who was my 1st cousin 5 times removed. He was baptised in Bramshott, Hampshire on 28th February 1819, the second of two illegitimate children born to Mary Small. Mary went on to marry John Kingshott in 1821 and brought the two illegitimate children up as his own. I don't know, at this stage, whether or not John Kingshott was the father.

I'd love to fill in some of the details of descendants of this family.

Regards

Hi Sue,

Perhaps you would be interested in seeing my research on this family. I would certainly like to see the work that you have done. We may perhaps be able to see some possible links.

I've also got a photocopy of the book that you mention, but, as you say, the Corsham family don't get much billing in there!

I'll PM you my email address.

Kind Regards

Jan

Hi,

In your travels through the FLOWER family of Melksham, have you found any links to the FLOWER family of Corsham?

I descend from the Corsham FLOWER's.

Hello again,

William Hossell did indeed marry Elizabeth Broadhead on 11th March 1839 at St Giles in Knottingley. These are my wife's 3rd great grandparents. She was baptised 10th November 1817 in Knottingley.

Hi All,

My wife descends from this family. Mary Ann Bould nee Hossell was her 2nd Great Grandmother. Her son, John William Bould married Harriet Smith and had a daughter called Doreen Bould in 1919. She is my wife's grandmother. She married Fred Dickinson. My wife is a Dickinson.

I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who links in to this family, especially as they are quite closely related. Well, closer than the 9th or 10th cousins I am often in correspondence with!

My direct e-mail is Moderator Comment: email address removed to avoid spammers.   Please use the personal message system    and I really look forward to hearing from some, if not all, of you.

I forgot to mention, but your Elizabeth Bolt, aged 58 years in 1871 did marry William Bolt. Her maiden name is Elizabeth Aplin Stone which may explain the Stone family reference.

Feel free to e-mail me if you want anything further. If you have family in Colaton Raleigh, they will be related to me and on my tree somewhere!
