Hello all...
Just a quickie, does anyone have a relative who served with the Lancashire Hussars during the Great War. I ask because I am part of a group of cavalry living historians who represent 'D' Squadron Lancashire Hussars, we are putting together a 'mobile' museum showing the lives of a cavalry man in the 1914 period. Also part of this museum is a display of information about the men of 'D' Squadron, who they were, where they came from and what happened to them if they survived the war.
If anyone has any information that they feel might be useful please drop me a line at (*)

Anything at all would be most usefull...
Cheers

Hi...

Are your mortimers related to mine???

I have a Mortimer in my line Elizabeth Ann Mortimer who married Early Bickerdike in Morley.
After a conversation with a long lost cousin she memntioned a few Mortimer names, was sam a musician by any chance?? Or related to reg mortimer who bought Lees Hall just after WW2?

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Elizabeth Biggs Pre 1822 Low Moor Bfd.
« on: Monday 21 June 10 16:15 BST (UK)  »
Hi all..
If anyone has easy access to the parish records in Bradford either Parish Church or anywhere could you have a quick look for Elizabeth Biggs born circa 1805 possibly in the Low Moor area.
She married William Bickerdike 14th April 1822 in the Parish Church. I have been unable to find any baptisms for either Elizabeth or William though the marriage entry in the record states 'of this parish'
I have tried Family Search but other than the marriage there are no hits so can anyone help?
